Our Vision
- Our vision is to build a Club that provides first class football training facilities and playing opportunities for current and future generations in the Birtley and surrounding areas.
- To provide quality, safe opportunities for young people of all ages in our community
- To provide a safe and fun environment to learn new skills.
- To help people realise their potential, develop personal skills and confidence as well as promoting respect.
- Being inclusive to all – introduce people to football regardless of age, ability, sex, religion and ethnic background.
- To improve the performance of players, coaches and volunteers within the Club through coaching, training and mentoring.
Coaching Philosophy
- Give equal playing time wherever possible.
- Play attacking and creative football.
- Display a positive attitude, showing respect and sportsmanship at all times.
Grassroots
We provide opportunities to play football in a fun and safe environment for all the children at the club.
We currently have 18 junior teams, mixed and girls teams, all with pathways into adult Mens and womens football at our club.
Our mens first team playing in the Northern league and womens team playing in the Durham County league,
We have adult development teams in between to improve continuity of the pathway making it a great experience for all our menbers.
History
Formerly known as Birtley St Joseph’s Juniors in the 90’s, we merged with Birtley Town Fc in 2002 , providing a pathway from juniors to seniors men’s and ladies teams.
“This led to the award of FA Charter Standard community Club status in 2004.”
The club is affiliated with Durham FA.
We always help our local community with any projects and host community events every year to bring everyone together.
Venue
We have a training venue and a home venue and clubhouse at Birtley Sports Complex situated behind Birtley Leisure Centre, Durham road, Birtley, DH3 2TB.

We provide opportunities to play football in a fun and safe environment.
We host soccertots (age 4-6), wildcats sessions (girls only 5-11) and have 18 junior teams from age 6 – 18, all competing in local leagues and competitions.
